NEW Cross Training Challenge (CTC)

Begins January 16th and Ends March 5th

The new CTC has a wellness component! You do not have to be a CRC member to participate! Additional information and the CTC registration and tracking forms are available here (click the CTC tab).

WHEE are Catamount Fit

Cost: $10/person for all 6 Fridays
Dates: Jan. 27, Feb. 3, 10, 17, 24, March 3
Time: 12:10 – 12:50pm  Location: CRC Court 2

Join Kellie Monteith and Shauna Sleight for 6 weeks of Friday Fun and Fitness! This 40 minute high-intensity interval training class will focus on total body strength and conditioning. Join us for tire flips, sandbag carries, speed and agility work, kettlebell swings, and more! To reserve your spot, email wheeforlife@wcu.edu. Payment is due the first day of class. Space is limited to the first 25 people!

WHEE Wellness Classes

Aqua Group X in Reid Pool
Begins Tuesday, Jan. 17
Aqua Group X is only $25 for CRC Non-Members and $10 for CRC Members and includes every water class Monday-Thursday 5:30pm-6:15pm for the entire semester. Please register at the Campus Recreation Center. Bring your Cat Card to all classes. No swimming skills necessary. All equipment provided. See Steve in the Reid equipment cage for Reid locker usage.

Wellness Wednesday Yoga
Wednesday, Jan. 18, 25:  12:10 – 12:50pm, CRC Studio 2 
Yoga physically and mentally challenges you in order to help you connect to your inner power. Modifications and assistance provided. FREE for WCU employees. Please present your Cat Card at the CRC front desk. Go to the left cage area of the CRC near vending for a day locker.

Shape Up Saturdays
Starts this Saturday, Jan. 21: 10 – 11:00am, CRC Studio 2
FREE to university employees, this Group X class rotates type of class and instructor. Please present your Cat Card at the CRC front desk and for a day locker.

Zumba

More Wellness Opportunities

Ramsey Activity Center (RAC) Concourse
Get your daily walk in rain or shine. 5 laps around the outside of the concourse = 1 mile. Doors open at 6am and close at 6pm Monday–Friday (Concourse walking usage is subject to facility events).

Reid Pool
Reid Pool is available for free to all WCU employees with the presentation of your Cat Card. Please check the Campus Recreation Center website for hours.
