Program proposals solicited for Annual Student Leadership Conference, Whee LEAD

The Whee Lead Conference is a one day student leadership conference for campus leaders aimed at meaningful discussions of relevant issues within their organizations/departments and within their daily lives. This conference will be an educational opportunity for campus leaders to explore issues that they face every day and investigate possible solutions. The conference is free and open to all students to attend.

This year’s conference will be held on Saturday, February 18th in the AK Hinds University Center from 9am- 5pm. The theme for this year’s conference will be “Limitless Leadership: Maximizing Your Leadership Potential”. We are looking for presentations in a variety of topics including, but not limited to holistic development, group/team dynamics, motivating the middle, resume/interview skills, communication, apathy, cultural competency, and global leadership. In order to engage participants, we highly encourage presenters to create creative and interactive presentations.

This year we are implementing a Whee Lead Conference Reception from 3:30-5:00pm in the UC Illusions. This will be a special time for networking between our presenters and our conference participants. Please plan to attend this special event!

Program Proposals are DUE Friday, January 6th. Notification of program acceptance will take place by Friday, January 19th.
