Hunter Library to be open ‘24/5’ last two weeks of semester

WCU students who need a quiet place to study for final exams will find Hunter Library open on a “24/5” schedule starting at noon Sunday, Dec. 4.

The library will be open continuously from Dec. 4 through 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9. Library hours for Saturday, Dec. 10, will be 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. The library will re-open at 9 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 11, and remain open until 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 16.

Free coffee and other hot beverages will be available every night starting around midnight while the library is operating on the 24-hour schedule. The library staff advises that students looking for a particularly quiet place to concentrate and study should check out the Silent Corner of Hunter Library’s ground floor.

WCU Parking and Transportation Services will extend the Cat Tran shuttle service from Hunter Library beyond its regular 2:30 a.m. end time to 7:30 a.m. while the library is on its 24-hour schedule.

Final exams are scheduled for Dec. 10-16.
