Snyder to speak at indigenous languages conference

Sara Snyder, visiting assistant professor for WCU’s Cherokee Language Program, will present at the American Philosophical Society’s “Translating Across Time and Space” symposium Friday, Oct. 14, in Philadelphia.

Snyder’s presentation, titled “Reclaiming the Cherokee Singing Book for Contemporary Eastern Cherokee Language Revitalization,” will be shared on the campus of the society adjacent to Philadelphia’s landmark Independence Hall.

Translating Across Time and Space” is co-sponsored by the Penn Humanities Forum.
