Professional Development, October and Beyond

A number of professional development events and informational workshops are planned for October and beyond. Offered through Human Resources and Payroll Talent Development, The Coulter Faculty Center and Information Technology, these learning opportunities are designed to help you meet your needs for personal and professional effectiveness.

Open Forums 

State Health Plan and NC Flex Enrollment Sessions take place on the following dates (no registration necessary). HR Representatives will be on-hand to assist employees with the electronic enrollment process.

Information Technology Training (Link) 

Information Technology offers a variety of workshop options for WCU faculty, staff, and students. Core technology workshops include the Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook and Blackboard- the university’s learning management system. We also offer workshops on how to use the electronic classrooms as well as the demonstration classrooms.

Coulter Faculty Commons (Link)

The Coulter Faculty Commons offers a variety of workshops, office hours and training opportunities to assist faculty with their teaching and learning both with and without the use of technology. Offering include “How To” sessions for specific topics, departmental meetings upon request for specific needs and one-on-one sessions to help individuals with their particular needs.
