Susan S. Szenasy, publisher and editor-in-chief of Metropolis, an award-winning New York City-based magazine of architecture and design, will visit the Western Carolina University campus to give a presentation Thursday, Oct. 27.
Szenasy will speak on “Making Things in the Digital Age” at 7:30 p.m. at the John W. Bardo Fine and Performing Arts Center.
Szenasy has led Metropolis since 1986 and has received national and international recognition for its landmark design journalism. She is considered a pioneer in connecting environmental stewardship with design, said Jon Jicha, WCU professor of graphic design. A book of her writings, “Szenasy, Design Advocate,” was published in 2014.
The presentation is sponsored by WCU’s School of Art and Design. For more information, contact Jicha at firstname.lastname@example.org.
