Instructional coaches assist at new workshop for teachers

Jerad Crave and Jennifer Beck, instructional coaches with the College of Education and Allied Professions, assisted with a set of workshops focused on enhancing new teachers’ instruction at an institute for almost 200 first-year teachers in Raleigh on Friday, Sept. 30.

The workshops were hosted by the North Carolina New Teacher Support Program.

Beck and Crave were mentioned in a news item about the workshop on the EducationNC website.

The NCNTSP pursues the goal of “improving the effectiveness of beginning teachers through intensive induction support aligned to each teacher’s individual needs, teaching assignment and school environment,” according to its website.
