A Chinese translation of “Madmen, Intellectuals, and Academic Scribblers: The Economic Engine of Political Change,” a book by WCU’s Edward Lopez, was published recently by China Financial Publishing House.
Lopez, professor of economics and BB&T Distinguished Professor of Capitalism, said he recently received a copy of the volume. He noted that the cover design is similar to “one of the groundbreaking works on which my book is based, co-authored by my professors at George Mason University – James Buchanan and Gordon Tullock.”
Lopez said translations of “Madmen” into Arabic and Spanish are being developed.
The book, written with Wayne A. Leighton, professor of economics at Universidad Francisco Marroquin, was published originally in 2013 by Stanford University Press.
