Photo studio to open for new employee photographs, headshot updates

New full-time faculty or staff members and full-time employees who need to update their headshots are asked to visit the photo studio in the Office of Communications and Public Relations on these dates and between these hours:

  • Wednesday, Aug. 24, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3-5 p.m.
  • Wednesday, Aug. 31, 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 3-5 p.m.

“Photos made during these blocks of time require no appointment and usually take no more than five minutes for the entire process,” said Mark Haskett, director of photography and videography services. “New employees who attended new faculty orientation on August 11 had their photos made that day and do not need to have another photo taken.”

The photo studio is located in Suite 420 of H.F. Robinson Administration Building.

New employees’ photos will be published in a new employees feature that appears annually in The Reporter faculty and staff newsletter to introduce new full-time and permanent faculty and staff. Full-time faculty or staff members at WCU hired or promoted to full-time within the last year are asked to complete a brief information form online.

Employee photographs also are archived for use when needed to accompany news releases.

The photographers request that proper attire be worn with these uses in mind, and recommend a dark jacket, shirt or top.

For more information about photos, contact Haskett at mehaskett@wcu.edu or photographer Ashley Evans at aevans@wcu.edu.
