WCU to host Eroica Trio as part of Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival

The multi-Grammy nominated chamber music ensemble Eroica Trio will perform Wednesday, July 13, at Western Carolina University as part of the Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival.

The performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in the recital hall of WCU’s Coulter Building.

Featuring Erika Nickrenz on piano, Sara Parkins on violin and Sara Sant’Ambrogio on cello, Eroica Trio has released eight critically acclaimed recordings for Angel/EMI Classics Records and has toured extensively throughout Europe, the Middle East, North and South America, and Asia.

“The Eroica Trio captures and enraptures audiences with virtuosity and a sensual elegance,” said Kim Kopak, administrative support assistant with WCU’s College of Fine and Performing Arts. “They bring an irresistible enthusiasm to the stage, which led the New York Times to say there is an ‘edge of the seat intensity’ to every note they produce.”
