A new member will be joining Western Carolina University’s Board of Trustees as a result of the appointment of current WCU board member George W. Little to the Board of Trustees at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
Little was recently appointed to the UNCP board by N.C. Gov. Pat McCrory. A businessman and resident of Southern Pines, Little has served on the WCU board since June 2006. He will be stepping down from his trustee position at WCU on Friday, July 1.
The University of North Carolina Board of Governors will appoint a new member to WCU’s board to complete the remainder of Little’s term, which ends June 30, 2017.
