McDowell lectures at continuing education seminar
Dr. Mason C. McDowell, assistant professor and interim director of the WCU Nurse Anesthesia Program, lectured on Monday, Sept. 10, for the Mountain Area PeriAnesthesia Nurses Association at Mission Hospital in Asheville. McDowell’s lecture, “Pain Management: Acute and Chronic Pain Patients,” was part of a continuing education seminar attended by perianesthesia nurses from multiple hospitals in the region. McDowell reviewed pain pathways, treatment options and alternatives, and introduced case studies for interpretation.
